Dear Triumph Lovers,

You should almost be able to see the chequered flag on your satnav by now. The excitement is building at the prospect of seeing so many familiar faces again and enjoying a few lovely days together. For everyone who has registered for the German National Meeting 2026 in Soltau, the technical preparations for your TR should be all but complete.

Now comes the phase of deciding what to take with us and what has to stay at home. This applies not only to spare parts, but also to our outfits for the meet-up.

Although everyone resolves to take less with them this year, the TR’s entire storage space is barely enough. It’s just difficult every time.

The organising team’s adrenaline levels are steadily rising. That’s normal and a good thing, as it keeps the excitement building.

But every organising team before us has experienced this, and it’s simply part of the process if the meet is to be a success. Our ‘Heidschnucken’ sheep Heide and Hans Herrmann are certainly looking forward to seeing you. A positive atmosphere is also noticeable among the staff at our event hotel, Park Soltau.

Naturally, they too would like to offer you as pleasant a stay as possible.

Friday, 22 May

We look forward to welcoming you from 2.00 pm with our usual warm welcome ceremony. Once you’ve enjoyed that, check-in will take place in the lobby at the TR stand and at the hotel reception.

At the TR stand, you will receive an envelope containing a letter with important information, a special gift and your name badges. If you have booked tours, these will be listed in the address field above your name.

To unload your luggage, you may use the designated parking spaces in front of the entrance for a short time. Afterwards, or even beforehand, the TR can be driven to its final parking position.

Our parking team will be happy to assist you from the entrance to your final parking spot. Your next stop will then be the informal get-together at the tipi tent. Here, you can quench your thirst from 3.00 pm and satisfy your hunger from 5.00 pm.

For technical reasons, only cash payments are accepted there (for ATMs, see the programme booklet under: Info and more).

Martin and Mike will, as usual, provide the music to keep the spirits high. Anyone who has had their fill of fresh air for the day can continue the conversation from 8.00 pm in the hotel bar ‘Jan Kimm Deck’.

Notes on the hotel

Experience has shown that the TRs and their crews explore the stunning landscape and its sights on organised or individual tours.

The hotel is then ‘deserted’ and providing food or coffee and cake requires the deployment of staff – in short, costs.

So make use of the cafés along the way or in Soltau and enjoy the local specialities. You certainly won’t regret it.

In the programme booklet, you will find a special page on the topic of “Coffee and Cake”, in German and English, with all the addresses.

For a quick cup of tea or coffee during the day, a vending machine is available in the hotel, free of charge.

Saturday, 23 May

After a hearty breakfast, it’s ‘on the road again’. Either booked tours are on the programme (described in TR-Info 6/2025) or you head for independent tour destinations (described in TR-Info No. 1/2026).

Notes on the tours

The descriptions of the optional tours in TR-Info 1/2026 and in the programme booklet include the QR code for the TomTom website or app. You must be logged into TomTom to use it.

For all other devices, particularly Garmin sat-navs and those apps that wish to follow the tour track, the QR code below applies:

If you focus your mobile phone or tablet camera on this QR code and click on ‘tr-register.de’ appearing in the yellow field, you will be taken to the homepage with the selection options for downloading the tours.

Once downloaded to your PC, you can process the relevant GPX file either using Garmin BaseCamp or any other sat-nav app.

You will also find the download links, including for TomTom, for the booked tours: Celle, Lüneburg City Tour and Lüneburg Salt Museum.

On your PC, you can access this selection via the link www.tr-register.de/soltau-freie-touren.

How quickly time flies. It feels as though we’ve only just arrived, and already it’s time to say goodbye again.

The joint final ride to Camp Reinsehlen will be escorted by members of the Hamburg and Hanover groups. Here you’ll get one last glimpse of the typical heathland landscape. Refuel with a snack before saying a final goodbye to new and old friends.

We look forward to seeing you!
